The Dream Team...in reality.

I have divided the team into two categories. The first is outdoor country and the second is city. Two categories that require different usages. Like offense and defense. Biggest factor is the law, so this will be different depending where you live, so play nice.
The following is my current Dream Team subject to change when finding a better dream tool.

The City:
Victorinox Woodsman in my pocket
Victorinox Hercules in my cargo pocket
Leatherman OHT on my belt
Case XX Changer on my belt
Randall Triathlete in my other cargo pocket

The Outdoors:
Randall Woodsman in my pack
Randall Model 18 Survival on my belt

Seems like a lot of knives, which it is but if I need to loan one out, it is there. Even my off days I have at least 4 items with me, MT and pocket knives and a fixie.

Gerber used to go in the bag until a couple of years ago, but I heard that the law prohibited locking blades, so I stopped carrying it. 

In the woods
Swiss Army Soldier in the pocket
Camillus lockback or Vic OHT on the belt
Swisschamp in the pack

Thats my "EDC".  Does that get the job done every single time?  No, not at all.  For that reason, if I know I am going to do something a bit out of the ordinary that day, I will change it up. 
For my "I got something to do" days Leatherman Wave comes along.

Funny how that happens... I have the Dream Team ready to play, but when its the championship game, I bench them all and bring in a replacement.
"Why?", you may ask.  And I'd tell you  "Minimalism, safety, and individual weight"  I carry a locking blade when I expect heavier than normal use.  I dont know about collectively, but distributing the weight has been a noticable difference compared to a Leatherman Wave in one place.  To be honest, that happens but once a year. 

364 days a year, the Dream Team gets it done.

To me carry is more like a Football team than a Basketball team:  sometimes you have the blitz package in, sometimes it's the goal-line rush, and then there is the special teams squad. Every play.

The reality is, that with all the challenges we do here, I usually have just one tool/knife in my pocket.  My 'team' is only equipped for solitaire.  :dunno:

Country:Englishtown Crafts butcher knife with reinforced spine to allow knife to be batoned.
City: Ulster Official Scout knife(5 blade) and also:
Detonics .45 auto;a cut down M1911 that fits in your back pocket.I have a CCP.

It is a Mk1;one of the first couple hundred made.If you look close you can see where the frame was welded back together when the shortened the grip area.When I first got it I took it to the range and after only a couple of rounds it started to "stovepipe" on me. Took it home and dis-assembled it and found that it likely was never cleaned. I had to pry the extractor out of it to clean! Never had an issue with it afterward. I had a Detonics Pocket 9 for awhile but the guy I bought it from wanted it back.He was my go to gun dealer so I couldn't very well refuse him.

Nice 5 blade scout knife.  Looks like the Camillus 5 blade scout knife also had a Phillips as the 5th tool. 

There was a point in time when the Phillips screw took the world by storm.  It was even used to hold a car together... (Ford? Cadillac?).  I wonder if that's around the same time they chose to make the "Scout+" models

No suspenders - just used to 17 years of HVAC tools on my hips and weekend with a pack on my back  :cheers:
