Hello from Toolpig in Troy,KS!
on: April 18, 2009, 04:11:44 PM
All I can say is wow! I never knew there were so many people that were bitten by the multitool bug. I have been using them for most of my 39 years. I have always had Swiss Army Knives. My first MTwas a gerber. Not sure what model. I liked it better than the leathermans at the time. It was a 600 series I think. I liked how comfortable it was compared to the PST. Had it for about 7 yrs and lost it. Never failed me although the carbide grit blade was worn out completely and it had rust spots on it.  I bought a compact sport thinking it would be enough. Wrong! Got a Legend 800 for me and an urban legend 700 for my son Tony(He's 12). My first leatherman was a kick. Then I bought Tony a fuse since it had the blade locks. Then I had to have one. I liked them so much more than the gerbers . I kicked myself for overlooking them for so many years. Shortly after that I said what the heck and bought a brand new Charge TTI. I love it. Since then I have been on a quest to collect all leatherman tools Excpt for the insanely expensive limited edition silver and gold stuff. Now I have 40 and counting.  My SAK collection is growing as well. It is something that I enjoy with my kids (we have 4). Never can spend too much time with them. We also enjoy Audio (home and car),boating,ATV's , NitroRC Monster trucks. Camping hiking,fishing...Whatever it takes to keep it together and happy. My wife thinks I have too many hobbies but she is patient with me, What a wonderful person.

Things break worldwide, therefore things need to be fixed worldwide, therefore multitools are worldwide!
