Well for the last few days I have been toting one of my older mainstays.........

(Image removed from quote.)

.......earlier model CRKT M16-04.

2xTap

Is there any common knife you don't own 2xTap?

Always kind of wanted one of those for EDC.  I've handled various M16s and they all felt good in my hand.  Really like their looks and of course I love the flipper action.

May yet grab one the Zytel models to use as a beater knife for working outdoors.

I'm loving my Emerson M-15/mini CQC-15.  :tu:

I'm glad you like it.  For years all I ever wanted was an Emerson.  Finally a few months back I bought a Horseman.   I don't like it, don't carry it, and will probably trade it away when something comes up.  I love the look of some of them and there really isn't a really good reason why I dislike it other than just some knives you can't warm up to and my Emerson is it.
I should maybe play around with an A-100 sometime that is one I like the look of.  I will have to look at what your's looks like (m-15).

cheers,
Sean

I went back to carrying my Buck Sirus yesterday, the action was messed up again so I ended up taking it apart to find it was not a spring that came loose but rather the nylon bushings were in bad needs of lubrication. I really like the authoritative snap of Buck's ASAP system and it's never given me a problem except for that one time. Granted it took me months of trial and error (and frustration) to figure out the ASAP system but it has not messed up since. When I mentioned I mentioned it came apart and I fixed it the folks over on another forum asked how come i have not taken pictures. No one that they know of has taken one apart and had it back together. So if anyone here every has that happen to them, I am sure I can walk you through the problem.

Lately I have been digging into my knife collection and carrying stuff that have been neglected, just the other day I carried my old Kershaw Leek (2004 date) and it's nice that even a knife as wore out as that one can still keep ticking like a timex. Being my first real one hand opening knife I put it through alot and it's come out pretty well. Now it sits in a box most of the time but it got to come out and play with some of it's friends.

yes indeed.  I like the Aegis as well.  It has a very nice flat ground blade and makes for an excellent chopper.  I have the all black Aegis but would have liked to get the digi camo version.

I like several SOG designs, especially the trident, but they seem to be in love with aus8, yet price them same as other company's premium steel. Plus the name stamp on clip is a big turn off.

yes they are pricey.  I don't mind the logo incorporated into the clip.  The bayonet style clip took me awhile to get used to though.  I quite like a bit of "knife" sticking up out of my pocket so as to have something to grab hold of if needed.  Yeah they pretty much have stuck with aus-8 haven't they?

yeah the steel part is a shame you think they at least had to have one or two more alternatives, that'll be nice :-\

I carried this one today.....

Medium Case CV Stockman.  Jigged it myself, and it was my first mod, so it has sentimental as well as functional value to it.  My new favorite EDC.

Carried my Chinook I today.  I have hardly ever carried this knife for some reason, and I don't think I have even taken any pics of it.  Feel a bit guilty now as it is a great knife.

I wouldn't mind seeing a pic or two or your chinook?  I will have to check one out next time I go into town.  I hear it's a heavy duty folder?

It sure is, and one of the strongest out there from what I have seen.  I have the original one which is apparently even heftier.

I'll take some pics soon.  :tu:
