I cut some double sided tape with my DIY Gerber Shears for some tool chest liner for my Machinist Chest.

Are you a Tool and die maker Metro?  I spent a bit of time a few years ago as a CNC Operator and Tool and Die apprentice.  I need to get back to it somehow, my knowledge is getting rusty.

No, but I am an Industrial Designer (product) I don't specialize in anything which means I've had to learn and dabble in most things mechanical and automated process related. I have thought about going into trade training to learn more about it, but my manual shop in my garage has served me well :)

I would love to have a manual shop.  I do have a mini mill, but it's in storage at my uncle's foundry and he doesn't have time to snag it for me.

That's what I have. Only twice have I wished for a bigger mill. My mini lathe is the same case, only a few times I wished I had a larger swing.

The benefit of the small guys is they can be lifted from place to place. Which I do often.

I'm a lightweight compared to you guys!  I used my Style CS today to open a couple of envelopes and a package of M&M's from the campus bookstore!

I used my CS4 to open a small package that showed up in the mail today.   It contained the titanium spike from Essexman.  All I can say is wow.  That is a whole lot of cool in a small tool.  I'll put a Mcgizmo clip on it and install it on my tool ring.  Pictures to follow in the original "Ti Spike Thing Give Away" thread.

Ehhh used the Gerber to do a little lifting.

I honestly don't remember taking this picture at all. I think I was under some kind of influence.  :drink: I found it on my camera today when I uploaded some other photos.

I need to get on him about it.  I really want it because I love working with metal.  I still have a few of my Machinist tools and my ever so awesome Kennedy 11 drawer machinist chest.  I STILL drool over that thing even after owning it 5 years.

99.9% of my mods/repairs are done with hand tools. It takes more time but in the long run I enjoy the process.

Wow, today is one of those days that remind me why I carry a multi! My Wave got work duty today. Haven't really carried it all that much, just wasn't jelling with it. But today it removed clips, bent bails, dismantled a power washer chemical injector, and unclogged a tint machine like a champ! I even got the saw involved cutting a scrap piece of trim to make a stain sample. It just might make the trip tomorrow too....

My Blast saw some staple removing use today, and a bit of cutting with the blade and scissors.  My Swisschamp scissors have been getting a work out lately!

I'm a police officer assigned to a Middle School. Some of the kids made paper-mache sculpters around wire frames. A few had wires sticking out the bottom of their masterpieces. I have several multi-tools and keep a Gerber multi-plier on hand for such public service tasks. I used the wire cutters to cut the protruding wires away so the munchkins didn't impale their little fingers.  :multi:

I used my blast a bit cutting plastic today, and pulling still more staples out of boxes.  I used the (MINI BIT DRIVER!!!!) to tighten up my glasses too.  I love that thing!

Today I did something odd with my Wave-I traded it for a day with a contractor friend for his MP600. At the end of the day he returned it and showed me the new Wave he'd bought, and now I desperately want an MP600! Spreading the disease of addiction love!

Much as I do like my Wave, the MP600 does have some advantages too it.  Instant access pliers for one. :)

The Wave is a great tool, but I love those OHO pliers on my MP450. The 600 is a nice solid-feeling bit of kit.

Today I used the pliers on my Vic Spirit to align some one way pull the dot snaps on a customers holster. I used the small flat blade driver to change out a snap setting die. Finally I used the awl to clean out the mounting holes on a set of leatherIWB holster belt straps. I'm really liking the Vic Spirit.

Well today I used my shovel MT to plow my backyard garden that I use to grow some organic veggies for my family...  :D :D :D :pok: :pok:

Good workout!!  :D :D

Besides that I had my CT41 in pocket so I used saw to remove some branches, blade for some rope and wire cutters on pliers for some wire cutting and removing poles besides tomato plants...  :salute: :salute: :salute:

I used the medium screwdriver on my blast as a torsion bar to pick a lock on a toolbox at work.  One of our techs locked a bag of specialized fenderliner clips in his box and left, when we still needed them to deliver a car.  While I didn't get in the box that way, the blast did it's job well.  There were just too many tumblers on both sides of the lock and I can't pick that style.  Don't worry, we had his consent to break into his box, because he didn't feel like driving another 45 minutes back to the shop.  We ended up using a long hook to grab his drawer lock and got in that way.

Over the last couple months or so, Chrysler has had a safety recall on their ignition switches. I've found that the large flat driver on the Wave is perfect for popping out the bezel, making quick work of the procedure. Now I've been using the driver daily, and up until then I could probably count on two hands the times I used it. I guess you just never know...
