Low Cost knife Blanks
on: July 31, 2009, 05:40:46 PM
A while back i bought a Green River knife blank from Track of the Wolf to make patch knife. I bought the 6.95 paring knife blank was impressed the blank comes sharp and is easy to maintain. This the first knife i made and installed scales on.  So don't laugh. This winter want to buy a few more. http://www.trackofthewolf.com/(S(je1kqv55dexcom453g52xz45))/categories/partList.aspx?catID=9&subID=56&styleID=201

Mike that looks very nice mate  :tu: :tu:

I have been looking at knife blanks on ebay ::) ::)

Mike how did you secure the handle too the blank? I have been thinking a recessed bolt(like a torx bolt) system would be a easy place to start for my first one

Thanks for the compliments. I epoxied the scales on and used a pin i made from a nail. I annealed the pin to make it easier to peen.
