I may have to keep her...
on: October 15, 2009, 02:25:44 AM
With my birthday a week away (yay  :ahhh) I have decided that I am going to have to keep my wife for at least a little while longer.

Last week an unexpected package from Grohmann Knives arrived, and I was kind of confused.  Occasionally a knife company send me stuff to look at but Grohmann doesn't really come out with new stuff, and I don't deal with them an awful lot to begin with, so I thought that was odd.  At the same time the PVR came in (a day early) so I called my wife at work to tell her it got here.  She asked if there was anything else in the mail (she always asks if there's anything in the mail) and I said there was a package from Grohmann.  She told me to open it, so I did, and inside was a gorgeous rosewood handled carving set.  I've been after a good set for a while, and there it was!

Then tonight, we were in one Costco, spent a small fortune on things we needed for the house (snow shovel, rock salt and snow brushes for the cars :( ) but didn't get what the wife was after, so we drove across town to the other Costco to look there.  Well, they didn't have it either, so Kim decided since we were there, she might as well look at the books.  I was trailing behind her and slowed down in the DVD section after seeing a Flinstones boxed set.  I love the Flintstones, and this was the whole series.  Cool, but not $75 cool, not after we just spent a small fortune.  I kinda of laughed to myself as the box said it was complete, but I doubted very much that they had the old Winstons cigarette commercials in it!

Ok, I'm a jackass I know, but I think that to be complete, things should include everything as that's what complete means.  Still, I was amused, not outraged, because it's not really that important....  then, as I was putting it back I saw the 25th Anniversary Transformers 16 DVD boxed set!

The box opens like the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, and it has the entire Marvel era G1 series (minus the movie :( ) plus Autobot and Decepticon fridge magnets that went right on the fridge as soon as I got home.  My wife has been rolling her eyes at me so bad I'm surprised they haven't popped out of her head!  :D

Anyways, I told her that's what I wanted for my birthday and she said to get it.  I said she should pick it up next week and surprise me, but she refused...

So, like I said, with a Grohmann carving set and 16 DVD's of the Transformers, I guess I have to keep her... for a little while longer at least!  :D

it's already your birthday again... where did that year go???

nice score, although we'd have little need for the carving set...
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

You can't go wrong with Grohmann or your wife for that matter.

If you don't keep her I am sure there are a lot of takers here ::)
But since I have my quota (wife enforced) then I am out of the bidding :pok:

Happy b-day ahead of time :D

The similarity stops at our willingness to procreate!

Yeah, but we do both have naked pictures of us floating around the internet. At least I think I do, I tried awfully hard to upload them everywhere.  ;)
