Babysitting
on: October 29, 2009, 05:43:24 PM
On Thursdays and Fridays my 1 1/2 year old granddaughter babysits me. This morning we are enjoying frozen waffles and watching Handy Mandy. You know they are never to young to learn about tools.

Liam loves Handy Manny, and I like it as well.  We watch it almost every Saturday morning.

Mike,
My niece loves Handy Manny and last year for Christmas, when she was a year and half old) we got her a Handy Manny tool chest.  It has all the little tools and she loves carrying it around and "helping" her daddy.  It's too cute.  She might like something like that, if you are looking for a Christmas present for her.  The one toy her mawmaw got her was  handy manny tool chest where the tools "danced" like they do on the show.

They usually have a good price on the tool chests at Target.  They had one on clearance at mine a few weeks ago, but I didn't have the money to buy it.  Don't know why it was on clearance because the others were marked full price, might have been an open box.

Its all good until they start hitting everything with a hammer ;)  It gets even better when every surface in the house needs sanding with their "makes right noise" toy orbital sander.  Should you make the mistake of retreating to the back garden be prepared to be followed by the din from the "all the noises again" chainsaw  :ahhh

Enjoy :D
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

That's funny you should say that about toy hammers. I keep a small hammer for when kids are around when i am working in the garage i give it to them them with a small peice of wood and a hand full of nails. Keeps them busy for hours.
