Obvious drawbacks of not being able to use it as a splitting wedge. Can't use it as a hammer. I prefer a single bit axe personally.'tis beautiful though...
Yeah, it's a shame. The intact safety axe has been banished to my spoon carving bucket for light roughing work.

Amici, Just received an email from Lee stating that the double bit has been repaired via a new wedge, resharpened and given a good workout with no issues so it's on its way.. Will post pics and report of it's rebirth so stay tuned..Cheers,Serge
