Well our Saturday night took a bizarre turn. At about 9.30pm I noticed a couple of small bumps on my dogs head, then a few more here and there and swelling over her eye....By 11pm we had dosed poor Ruby with antihistamines and given her a cool bath but she was now covered with hives all over and both her eyes and muzzle were seriously swollen At 12am I was off to an emergency vets to get her jabbed with some steroids quick smart. She is now getting better and has chilled out a lot. Poor little thing was beside herself, rubbing on the carpet, trotting around aimlessly and whimpering. We have absolutely no idea what caused the reaction but it was fairly full on and most likely something she ingested on the sly. I was worried that it would extend to her throat and cause breathing problems, hence the rapid vets visit. Dogs eh?!Normal service will now be resumed
