on:

this was one of my finds on Ebay. The seller didn't know nothing , and
I don't have a clue as well...First I tought it could be an OLD Elsener
but the Picture on the Main Blade showed clear it wasn't.
here couple pics to help me ID this one.

It certainly seems reminiscent of the old Victorinox design, but you are right, the tang stamp is not Victorinox. Is there a stamp on the opposite side as well?
My best guess would be something from Solingen. The good thing about knives from that era is that they are likely of good quality- no one knocked off knives back then, or at least not as cheaply or as commonly as they do today.
If you can get it for a good price, snag it.

It's probably a Solingen clone of Victorinox. Victorinox had a lot of trouble keeping up with them, because they couldn't produce as many knives very quickly. Victorinox did have a model exactly like that though. I'll go do some research.
EDIT: Alright, I couldn't find a lot of information on it, but it is likely that that is one of the only existing good quality SAKKOs.

There are actually a few companies that produce decent quality "Swiss Army Styled" knives, so I wouldn't consider it a direct knockoff, or say that there are only a few of them out there. Many of the European companies produce good quality multi-bladed pocket knives including ICAR and Aitor. Also, several Chinese companies make some pretty decent knockoffs nowadays too- so much so that the Elseners have gone on record as saying that their biggest competition wasn't Wenger, it was the Chinese knives. Of course it's hard to pinpoint an origin for some of the decent knives as they are sold to companies that put their own names and logos on them and get them through multinational distributors. Since patent laws aren't important to these companies, they have no interest in being easily found.

I don't think it would be Chinese. It might not be Solingen, but I'm pretty sure it's German. Many German companies copied of of Victorinox, and besides the hilt, that knife looks EXACTLY like an old Victorinox.

I never said it was Chinese. I was referring to your claim that there are only a few decent knockoffs out there.

I never said all Chinese knives were bad.
Also, when you compare the number of good knockoffs to the number of bad knockoffs, there doesn't seem to be a lot of good knockoffs. I guess there are many, but a million, compared to 10 trillion, seems small.
