SOG and Paladin have put together a pretty good interactive page on the PT-525 PowerPlay tool.

Neat interactive display.   But, I when I mouse click on the tip of the long nosed pliers, the diagram claims the tip can be used as a "rugged punch creates starting point for saw in drywall or wood paneling for outlet boxes."   Are the tips of the PowerPlay pliers sharper than the PowerLock?

I wouldn't want to use the pliers tip as a punch for fear of breaking or misaligning it.

I've got a PT-510, which does have needlenose pliers with a sharper beveled point than a similar SOG Pocket Powerplier. When closed, the plier tips come to a true point, with no small flat area like on normal needlenose tips.

According to the directions, it looks like you're supposed to draw back and slam the whole tool against the wall like a cold chisel! Umm, needless to say, I have not yet experimented with this handy feature............

  Am I understanding your question correctly?

The PowerPlay tools are only available with one combination of blades:
 
The PT-510 is basically an S44 Pocket Powerplier with a few changes.
The PT-525 is basically an S61 PowerLock with a few changes.

My mistake... I was thinking of that other link I saw a while back where you could build your own tool...
