Oooh, I think that's a Panzer I at 1:10 There can't be many of those around these days.
A few years ago I visited the Tank Museum in Saumur France with my inlaws:http://picasaweb.google.com/sexto9/FranceTankMuseum?authkey=Gv1sRgCM_R_NXpiPWurQE&feat=directlink
my grandad served with the desert rats in WWII under montgomery i dont know what tank he was in though
I'd often wondered how the S tank would of worked if the Swedes suddenly had to confront masses of T64, T72 and T80's But they's bought the Leopard 2 (best tank in the world, bar none imo) now, so I don't think even they are convinced of the Tank Destroyer concept anymore

I've always figured that the attackers could get close by simply by advancing in a wide zig-zag pattern, and keeping up a good rate of speed while moving diagonally (if that makes sense)

(Image removed from quote.)Bob you sure that S-tank is not English , from the look of that big puddle of oil like substance under its right track it sure looks English . If we could find out if the tank has on again off again & then off completely electrics that would confirm its country of origin .Did they pair the S-tank with conventional tanks too cover their back, side, slightly left of center...... .
i really must get back out to the tank museum near me , ive not been for years, sadly my girls would find it boring, i love this stuff paul

So if you all had to pick the greatest tank of all time. What would it be?Somewhat predictably I'd plump for the original T35, as that was the first tank to truly incorporate all 3 principals of the AFV holy trinity
Ever since I was a young lad, I always had a fascination with weapons. Probably derived from my complete set of Weapons and Warefare encyclopedia which is a bit dog eared from usage when I was a kid.
