He modified his file in a manner that it still 'locks' but is also easily detachable... Can this be done to my Charge TTi?

Won't it fall out when you close the file up  :-\
Everything’s adjustable

Well I was thinking it might need a bit different placement of the hole to better 'hook' around the pivot so it doesn't fall out while the tool is closed. I don't know though? ???

I think if I was going to do something like that with a Charge, I'd think about attaching the file where the pocket clip & lanyard ring attach.

It would require a bit more craft than the mod done to the file in the pic, but I think it would work better. Bob (J-Sews) has done this with saw blades, and a former member made me a bit driver that works with this concept and it does work well :)

I used to come here a lot.

OOOooo!! That is nice! :tu: You would really think Leatherman would take advantage of the potential of pocket clip/lanyard attachment, they could do a lot more with it... Long shank screwdrivers, files with different coarseness, awl/marlinespike, hacksaws, better wood saws, metal saws.... I'm sure they could find a few more to add in there, they could even stay with the bitcard system and store the extras blades/files/saws/what have you vertically in a bitcard. It would be nice.
