Read that description on another forum and loved it.  I know that there are a lot of people here that like BCD.

Here is my comment and then question.

I noticed over the years that as my waist goes up (out) then so does my size of watch.

Let me explain I started out with a standard Swiss Army
http://www.swissarmy.com/Timepieces/Pages/Product.aspx?category=originalsai&product=24221&

It measures 1.464 inches (25.4mm)

Then I went to a little bigger Wenger 1.530 in. (38.8 mm)

Then I busted everything out when I went on the cruise last year and got the Zodiac Super Sea Dragon 1.925 in. (48.8 mm)
http://www.classybrand.com/wrist-watch+pid-Z03701.asp

When the Zodiac had to go back to the shop I bought the Citizen Eco Diver 1.907 in. (48.4mm)
http://www.abt.com/product/31082/Citizen-BN001604L.html

Now mind you I had other watches (even the watches that I mentioned) but I just didn't like the feel
of the smaller case anymore.

Is this common does others suffer from this and what is it called and where does it end?

Will I keep on going till I buy a Seiko Tuna Can is there another one bigger it is like SAK and MT's there is no end. :ahhh

i only wear big watches, at the moment panarai homage type watches at around 44-47mm i find small watches look wrong on my big wrists,  :D you cant go wrong with most modern divers , seiko's being my favorite but i have to admit that when it comes to my regular sea swimming i wear G-shocks or now my casio divers watch, these are great beater watches,

Swiss Man,

I'm with you bud, I was doing 38mm to 40mm watches for years. Started getting into some of the bigger pieces at 45mm to 47mm and haven't looked back. Most of my watch collection sits in between 47mm to 53mm, add in the crown protectors and my Russian Diver is 60mm!

I still wear some of my smaller 40mm to 44mm watches, and even one of my latest Pro Diver's, a 6032 automatic, is a 45mm........

But my most favorite watches I wear are all Big'uns............

SubAqua Reserve Speciality = 53mm:

SubAqua Noma III Green OC kit = 50mm:

SubAqua Noma III Blue OC kit = 50mm:

SubAqua Noma III Black IP Chrono = 50mm:

Swiss Legend Neptunes = both are 52mm:

Sea Spider Chrono = 50mm:

Pro Diver Ocean Ghost GMT Red = 47mm:

Pro Diver Ocean Ghost GMT Green = 47mm:

Grand Pro Diver GMT on mesh = 48mm:

Russian Diver = 60mm:

Ummm, yeah..........I'm liking the bigger divers! And to answer your question, there is no end!

They certainly are some big boys!

I like quite big watches too but can only wear up to about Monster size before it starts to look silly :D

Lovely watches - i fell in love with this Invicta a few weeks back while window shopping on amazon

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Invicta-6117-Reserve-Watch/dp/B0039SLXHY/ref=sr_1_30?ie=UTF8&s=watch&qid=1278495675&sr=8-30

however even with £650 knocked off it's still so far out of any budget i might be able to conjure up it's depressing!

Dayum!  that last one looks like a flask that is disguised as a watch so you can sneak booze into the ballpark!  :)  So....how are the invictas?  You seem to dig'm enough.  All I have is a Citizen Eco Drive, Titanium and and old Seiko.    I like the look of that yellow invicta!

Abstraction,

That particular one you linked to is a Invicta Reserve Venom, they are huge. And they are pricey, occassinally they do come up on sale on some of the watch sites for under $400.00 depending on the version.

Fisting_Chili,

I like them alot, they do alot of designs that appeal to me. And in most regards you get alot of watch for the money. I currently own 32 watches, 20 of them are Invictas. But they do have some problems. Invicta produces a HUGE amount of models, and they add to it every year. On top of that they produce millions of them.....their QC can sometimes be lacking and their Customer Service is slow.

But on the whole they have been great. And I have had no problems with any of mine. They use good movements in their watches, their fit and finish of them is excellent, and they offer such a wide variety. And.......they cater towards everyone, making watches of every size. And the best part is alot of deal sites do real great sales on Invicta pieces.

A good example of that is my two SANIII OC kits.........

.....these are big divers and Swiss Made with Swiss ISA Chronograph movements, full 316L stainless construction and 500m water resistant, with 3 interchangeable bands and a stainless bracelet, all encased in a lined and waterproof dive case. MSRP on these is way over the $1000 mark. They generally run on most sites in the $500 range. But a few sales came up on these after their initial release and I managed to get them for under $300 a piece.

You just can't beat that.
