Not G10 just some type of paint  It chips really easily, so I have been very easy with this one :ahhh

Nix, very graciously sent this one to me a few years ago and I floored by it  :sa:

The orange sure does look good. I'd be careful with it, too. A nice gift from Nix!

love my wave but have some questions. On the inside of the handles one side is marked 12 40 and other side marked 12 50. Any ideas what that means? thought they might be dates, but definitely not made in December of either 1940 or 2040......so I am stuck...lol. Also what it the little elastic thing on the side of the sheath supposed to be for?
Sorry, maybe these are obvious questions to you guys.
All answers appreciated!!

Might need pics of that

That may be different numbers than the actual datecodes :salute:

Try using a flashlight and looking at the side of the inside of the handles :tu: If a date isn't there then it may be under the tools

Also welcome to :MTO:

Great thread.  Out of the hundreds of multitools I've owned, the 2nd Gen Wave is really the only one I ever carry aside from a SAK on my keys.

The difference is that the BO is way tougher  :ahhh you can look at the orange and it will chip  :D

So mostly light use for it while the BO gets treated normal (read as rough use  :D )
