I've been wearing mine all day  I love it, I am amazed at how much I love it. And the NATO strap is the best I have ever seen, anywhere, ever...

I'm not sure my useless camera could do justice to such an amazing watch.

One comment I got today was "nice Rolex boss, is it new"

ryan1835, they do get mildly annoying if you have plenty of watches and you rotate quite often. When it is the automatic's time, you have to wear it a little, and then set your time. You are good for the day or more after that. I remember the wind ups...and would never go back to those if given a choice. As for batteries, I am not overly fond of those either, as once your battery dies and it needs replacing, there goes your waterproofing. Automatics are to wind up, like solar power is to battery. :D

...And with automatics you can get a watch winder once you have a few, takes care of storage and winding.   :D

Manuals... I like them; I have a few again, best for simple watches with no complications, not even date. I can wear them once in a while and don't have to worry about adding another bank of winders.

The best looking and crafted watches are the mechanicals.

OT. Battery Stuff
I swore off batteries in 2000 with the purchase of a nice Constellation, still probably my favorite.  I've mellowed now a bit as I have a very nice Seiko with the impressive features of accuracy, and ability to adjust hour hand for timezone/dst changes without stopping the watch (brilliant); it's scary accurate, and the battery truely lasted it's rated 10years. It's also held it's value, if not increased. I decided I'll just do all battery replacements myself, and I limit the purchase price of battery operated watches.

Eco Drive! Fantastic technology. Hard to find a really nice watch, but for casual, friends, etc. unbeatable... and I can get perpetual which in an automatic with cost you the price of a car; and they have impressively slim watches.

If you need a really robust, shockproof, impact proof, etc... you need quartz watch... easier to find sporty than elegant, but you can find pretty nice ones in the Reactor line.

I just want to point out and warn users of Nato straps  ;) mine was a cheap one £5.75 and it now shows worn only two weeks or so and I've already had to reheat the seems  :ahhh my problem now but I just wanted to say  :tu:

[edit]these are not of the quality Paul is offering here,as I can tell the thickness is a lot less just by looking at the pics, mine was of ebay but I needed one ASAP stone the crows   ::)
