I see they are on close out at EDCDepot, and I was wondering if they were any good?

I don't know about that model... I have a $50 dollar one I bought at radioshack that has like 4 colors and it is not very bright but it is an ingenious idea!

I've owned a few Coast lights, and they look nice and work ok, but I think you can do much better(brighter/better LED/longer runtimes) with other lights in the same price range.  That being said, if you like the Coast design/features, go for it.  ;)

I have 2 Coast lights, one head light and one multi-color recon. I used the head light on a job at a museum (U-505 project) a couple of years ago and it preformed magnificently! very bright, long lasting (still haven't switched out the batteries!) and was the envy of the head lights!

my second Coast I just got this past Aug at Blade Show West. I wouldn't say it's the most waterproof light/torch I own but I do like the many colors of LED it has and I got a good deal on it; so I like my Coast lights, they do the job and seem to last a long time.

I haven't owned any of the higher priced Coast lights, but some of the cheaper ones are pieces of junk. (in my opinion)

They do seem to have a decent reputation when it comes to lighting though...
