So...tying up two other threads,I finally fitted my home made wooden scales

To end up with this:








Since thier last apearance,the scales have had a couple of coats of Teak oil,and gained a Vic cross.

Not the best job on the forum I know,but I like it :D

Did you inlay the scales? What did you use to attach them? Some kind of glue?

2 prt epoxy,with a wee bit of superglue to help hold things while the epoxy cures

Ah, I see whats happened here, I've inadvertently sent you my wooden scaled version instead of the lovely plastic one. Just pop it back in the post to me  :rofl:

No seriously though, that looks unbelievably gorgeous, top job chap.  :tu:

Did you just cut the hole in the scale for the shield or have you cut out the whole shape?
All mushrooms are edible, some only once.
