Wow, the most I've ever put away in one day was 17, and that was at a party in college.

I guess if I started at kickoff for the first football game of the day and stopped when the last game was over I might be able to drink 20 or so, maybe 25, but the last time I had any beer I made it halfway through the fourth can and fell asleep!

Oh, I believe the Doc too. I couldn't handle that much beer though, all the peeing would have stopped me at the third one. I prefer wine and spirits anyway.

This reminds me of the summer of 2000 in the island of Ios, a popular tourist destination here. We frequented a place where many people from the Antipodes preferred too. There was this girl around 18, really slim and small, that got smashed every night. One time I tried to count how many pints she had; I lost count at 13 in a few hours.

Edit: In that place I was fool enough to take part in a drinking contest, to down 5lt of beer in shots faster than the other guy(s), last man standing sort of thing. I quit at 5 or 6 shots.

Pacing, well mostly.
The first dozen (Tui) went down easy during yard and house work, hot day so nothing to it.
Head over to friends place for bbq, drink water for a couple hours, get the kids settled for the night etc.
Second dozen (Corona) went down over horror movies and trash talking.
Turned to coffee at 4am, one hour before kickoff.
Stayed with coffee until bubbles celebration time.
Breakfast: bacon, eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, french toast, whitebait fritters and sausages.
Back home at 10am, can feel the headache starting, time to start on the 'delay hangover' dozen (Stella).
Walked the dog, took the kids to the playground, watched the motogp replay, cooked burritos for dinner and sat in front of the fire.
I think of it as a warm up to National Crate Day...

are you sure you walked the dog? i mean i've seen people hitting on mops and trees, trying to ride a cat, arguing with a statue of ronald mcdonald for being a nazi (that one was me), betting they could jump over a car going at them at 40km/h (again my dumb ass), wanting to go toe to toe with a tram in a fist fight, carrying around a big stick and yelling "i'm a level 6 warrior" (i swear it wasn't lynn)

A mate of mine has a still. It knocks out 96% ethanol. Then you buy the "essences" (flavours) from the home brew shop.
If you're a smurf you can water it down to 40% but it's easier to just put half as much in the glass.
I have a litre of 96% bourbon and one of 96% gin in the pantry at the moment and they are not too bad.
For some reason it doesn't give you as much of a hangover the next morning as commercial spirits.

But oh does it knock you around if you pour it like 40%.

I'm quite "knocked around" at the moment actually.

The best part... it works out equivalent to about $3 per 26oz bottle if you want to drink "vodka" or about $6 for a bottle of flavoured spirits. Certainly better than $40.

Just found the solution, during the upcoming silly season I'm going to get day drunk on Richelieu, because when I'm drunk I want to strip my Beckers, like now, but it's just not practical!
This maze runner movie sucks, going to work tomorrow sucks, but soon my Beckers will feel the Yuletide cheer in their new blued nakedness......
