Well.. since I posted anyway... I just ordered this (the buckle has a ferro rod + scraper and a whistle).

Hey, you've got a pretty good handle on Eifel Plierenches, I've almost cornered the market in (weird and wacky) Stanley watch tools, so I'm not in any position to criticize :D

 :tu:  Yeah the Eifel multitool isn't all that remarkable compared to the plierench, but I have a project planned for next year so when I can pick them up for under $7 US I go for it.  Of course 70+ years ago they were selling them for 15 cents and giving them away in the mail with the purchase of a set.  :facepalm:

I have been wanting some new backpacks. Mainly a bigger backpack with lots of pockets, storage, ect. I have also been wanting a very basic backpack with just a main compartment and a small front pocket. I have been looking around and everything of quality is kind of expensive (obviously), but I came across a OGIO Redbull series rolltop backpack. I'm not really into the Redbull advertising and never had a rolltop, but the price was right. $9.99 and free shipping. With tax it came out to $10.75 which is very, very reasonable. I figured what the heck and ordered one. OGIO makes quality backpacks. I looked around and this price is MUCH lower than any other price I could find for the same backpack. If I really like it when it arrives I will most likely buy another as a backup.

Yea me too. The only thing I am worried about it the kydex sheath not holding the knife securely enough. A few people have mentioned it can be a little rattly. I have heard it is pretty easy to re form the sheath if need be so if it is a issue I will go down that road.

I was going to order a Kershaw CQC-4KXL which is quite large, but decided on the Spyderco Persistence instead. It's a beast of a knife!
