i decided against ordering it this time, though i did get my halloween costume,

I would say absolutely legal to import  :tu:

Fixed blades are fine; it's flick knives, hidden knives, etc. that they look out for.

I think they may be an issue when it comes to certain swords but can't see a problem with that. I could ask for you on British Blades; some real knowledgable guys there  :cheers:

i was thinking of adding it to the order of something else i got from the same site but for 18 euros shipping i wont be buying from them again for a while

The only slight stumbling point that might come up is if it were classified as a weapon (being a bayonet rather then just a knife) by HMRC.  That could put it into another legal category altogether.  The guys and gals on BB are likely to give a more educated answer though. :)
