Buck Stockman gift pack
on: December 31, 2011, 03:48:02 PM
I've been developing a thing for Stockman Knives for a while now, enjoying the classic, non tactical looks.I tool a wander down to the local knife-a-rama(A-Z Ekectriacal)and seen a Buck Stockman for what looked like a fair price.A quick scan of the tinterweb that night popped up this

Well, having not gotten myself a Christmas present, and having slightly more cash than I'd expected...
Yes I went for it,and they arrived this morning:

They have 420J2 steel blades, which have a slightly matt, but very plesant appearance.Theres triffic snap to the springs, and the finish is fantastic, both to the eye and the hand.

I'm a big fan of Rough Rider knives, giving great bang for the buck(no pun intended),but these China Bucks are in another class altogether!Happy Christmas to me! :D
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

I have the 373 Trio knife from buck, which I believe is the little brother to that 371. Very nice knives you have there!

I like Buck knives whether they are made in the USA or China.  :tu:

I though Buck used 420HC as their standard steel. You learn new things every day.

420HC is Buck's standard steel for USA made knives. The 420J2 is used on some of Buck's imported knives. The fit and finish is generally good on the imports. I picked up that same set yesterday. I plan on giving it to my Nephew for his birthday in January.

I have a 371, and I think it's a great knife. The fit and finish is superb. :tu:
