Ive wanted to try this for awhile.  Right now I make the liner and liner spacer under the blade tip separate and rivet them together so they stay lined up.  This is time consuming, and Ive wanted to try machining them as one piece and finally gave it a go.

I will do the same with the keyring part and leave it double thickness for strength.

And I had to try a set of brass 91mm scales...

With the pocketing not as crazy heavy as I thought.  A Ti scale of mine is 15 grams and one of these brass ones is 23.

The brass scales look pretty sexy.  Nice work on machining the liner and the liner spacer as one piece...another cool hack.

And a Ti 91 compact tinker that has become a routine one, but one thing to note on this particular one is that I did a solid body liner with keyring spacer so that gives a thicker and strong keyring attachment point.

I started with 0.080" brass stock and machined it down to 0.072" at the double thickness part and 0.032" for the rest so it exactly matches the stock parts and my other brass liners.  So now I have a ring and ringless version of the liner... very happy with these!

Those sure are pretty.  I'm really partial to the 93mm blue TiOx!  Great work as always.  Makes me feel like I need another . . .

Come to think of it, are you still doing 58mm?  I could use a matching blue OC TiOx 58mm with tweezers, pen, phillips, flathead, and blade.   :D

I'm working on the code now for a 58mm version of the tiox.   I should have something to show ne,t week.  Getting the pen to fit is possible for sure.

I finally put the brass scales on a super tinker to try them out.  Heavy yes at 110 grams but it feels nice in the hand.  I bet I could get it under 100 for a super tinker if I tried though.  :D

I went with nickel silver on the tweezer instead of the usual brass for contast.

I'll send them a sample sometime with a polite note about pros of working together.  Who knows! :D  Id LOVE to have access to parts instead of having to buy retail SAKs for parts.   Maybe after a decade of making my living by modifying their knives they will know Im serious.   :D

Wouldn't hurt to try. You have a great track record. I'm still trying to find a configuration with ti scales  one day :dd:

Yes, those excavated brass scales are beautiful! And machining the keyhole into the liner is really nice, too.
