I figured I'd take this one a couple days ago when testing out an axe I'd fixed up that I was given along with several other newer Kellys and a couple no names (probably was eroded off from rust) a couple years back. This originally was in the worst shape of all of them.

The axe itself is a Kelly Works felling axe made in Charleston, W Va. between 1905 and 1933.

The edge was really nicked up and the handle was broken off.  Since it had been held on with fencing steeples and tar, it was nearly impossible to remove. Edge was repaired with the sharpening attachment for a Dremel.   A couple days ago was when I used nails (the way it had originally been done) driven into the top of the handle to tighten the head, and put the very sharp edge using my Leatherman PST II on it.
