According to this photo, you opened the pliers and used the bottle opener section to twist off the cap. In my photo I used it as instructed- with the handles closed use one protuberance to grip the cap edge and pull it off with a twist of the wrist.However, since it is still the same tool, and this is about using a different tool and not how to use the tools we'll uphold your ruling.
