Has CRKT stepped up enough to earn it's own forum in MTO?

I was just wondering...with the stuff that CRKT has come up with, from multi tools like the zillas and the guppies and one piece pocket multi tools (Worshipping at the altar of the mighty KERT)...does CRKT deserve it's own space within the hallowed halls of this multi-verse (aka MTO)?
Cheers,
Gabriel

They certainly have enough tools out there to warrant it, but no one really talks about them, which is kind of odd considering that they are really different and inventive.

After all, there's the Zilla, Zilla Jr, Guppie, Lil Guppie, KERT, Get A Way Driver, Torx Get A Way Driver, Spare Tool, Cicada, MAK 1, Extrik8R and Flux, and that's just a few off the top of my head.

then of course there are the collectible ones like this:

I've always liked CRKT, they do a good job with their "mass produced, custom knifemaker" stuff.

I find that the quality is well above what you would expect for the price, a bit like Victorinox.

good point. is there a chance like maybe in the near future that CRKT will have it's own forum in mto? like i've never seen that version of the zilla tool. and maybe there are some folks who have made some mods or have used CRKT multis or maybe knives even and have some very valuable insight to share from their experiences that other MTO'ers will benefit from. While I wasn't really too keen on SOG multi tools, after going through the SOG forum I ended up getting a powerlock, a powerassist and will continue to acquire more SOG stuff... i'm not too sure if having CRKT tools section will be of much benefit but I was just thinking it might.

Unfortunately while there is a lot of ground to cover (especially if you include their knives) no one really seems interested in covering them.  It's not a case of starting a forum and people suddenly start talking about CRKT, it's that people aren't talking about CRKT so there's not much point in having a forum for it.

If people were to discuss the tools I could see the point of having a place to put those discussions.  Since no one is talking about them, there's no point in having a special place for no discussions.

A while back someone suggested a Bear subforum and I told them pretty well the same thing.  If the existence of a forum generated discussion then we'd have a CRKT forum, a Bear forum, a Multitasker forum, a Sheffield forum etc.

I think their eat'n tool is neat.  Other than that not much of their stuff interests me.  It looks fine, just not compelling.  The only one I owned was the CRKT Tool, and I did not like that at all, the fit and finish on the one I had was something that belonged in the cheap and cheerful category.

makes perfect sense...it  might end up as a sleeper forum....well, maybe if CRKT innovated a bit more in the future and came out with some groundbreaking product like gerber...no pun intended. but still, that's a nice zilla tool!

I forgot about the Eat'n Tool, Exit Tool, Eat'n Tool XL, CRKT Tool (worst name ever) and the Rescue Series.

I think all of their designs are groundbreaking and innovative.  There's really nothing else like any of CRKT's designs coming from anyone else- meanwhile everyone is doing butterfly opening plier tools, multifunction fold out knives, sliding head pliers and so on.

Like I said, there's lots to talk about, just no one does...

As for that red Zilla, that was a limited Sports Authority release.  More photos and info HERE:D
