I love the look of the electrician,  and once I am back to where I can buy something, I might get one.
I love the orange Alox, but I imagine I will settle for Silver.
If I can help, let me know

I don't mod myself, but hope to start soon. I would send them with other parts to whoever does the mod for me. I do use them for tweezers quite often or pulling skin from the corners of my finger where the nail meets. I also use them for any small grabbing task I might need. I use them to bend paperclips into small tools of whatever shape I need for the task. I use them for placing/holding small screws. Pulling knots out or through. Pulling hairs. Pulling staples. Flattening staples on what's called a 2x2 in which you store collectible coins. The list goes on and on. I really enjoy using them and appreciate the precision. I almost never use them on nuts or bolts. I actually can't remember one instance of using them on a nut or bolt.

Anyways.... back on topic,

Electricians ROCK!!!!

they actually make a stapler for 2x2s that do not leave a rounded back,  I think they just call it a flat stapler.  it is a neat thing.  I know I spent half of my time coin collecting flattening staples.

But yes, back on topic,  my bad
If I can help, let me know

I have seen those. They're pretty cool and useful. I honestly don't mind flattening the staples but it does become a pain if you doing a lot of coins. They also have 2x2's that just stick to themselves so you don't have to staple anything.

Im overdue for this alox model. As an electrician by trade I feel as if Im commiting a crime not owning one. Is the Plus model still pretty easy to get ahold of?

Ah, bending paperclips.  I could play around with that in my office during work...or I could work I suppose ::)  Yeah, I don't see that they would be that handy for actual normal plier type work.  Perhaps I should just use my imagination more and I may find them more useful :tu:

Yes Ben, you are committing a crime, and you should be ashamed :twak:.  Get one ASAP :pok:  I'm not sure about the availability of the Plus model though, but maybe on Ebay?

Now, a standard silver alox electrician goes for what? 30 usd? How much would an orange alox one go for?

Yes you can get a Silver alox Electrician for around $30. Amazon has them for $26.67 right now.

Honestly I do not know how much a Orange Electrician would be or if you could even find one readily. I mean they are around, but to my best knowledge they do not currently make Orange Electricians. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I actually hope I am because I really wan't one.  :P

Vic need to make some more solo elec's or apprentices. Been hunting for a while for a one layer elec. (Turning into a solo collecter)

On the subject of electricians. I have two modern ones. The sheeps foot blade is really hard to deploy and put away on both. This is at the point where I now prefer to get the main blade out. Does anyone else have this problem? Have I just got faulty springs?

All the blades on my Electrician have a really good snap except for the little Electrician blade which is a bit 'Meh I can't be bothered to snap'

but its not hard to open or close, I don't know if this helps  :tu:

Theres some very nice pictures in this thread

Damn you guys, I'm in a group of enablers...

Anyways, as my next SAK will be the SwissChamp, I guess the next one after that will be the Electrician

Yes, yes you are >:D  I love the utility blade as well, and here is my custom, the Mechaneer.

Wow, substitute scissors for the pliers and that would be my dream 93mm custom sak. I even like the color
