Please can someone tell me what Def means

Hi Guys,

I see the word 'def' appear in quite a lot of posts.
I have worked out that it is referring to Grant Lamontagne who I think is our chief administrator -

But what does it mean please?? :-\ ???
Is it a military term?
It is not in the common abbreviations post at the start of this board.
I looked it up in a dictionary and apparently it means: defecation, deficient, definite
Surely this is not how we refer to our leader.
- Although those were the medical definitions....

Enlighten me please?  :)

Its a name left from his Knifeforums days, before he became a famous/wealthy forum owner and had to use his own name.

Also a Landrover model.

As the guys have said,Def is THE Boss! Basically he created MTo as well as SOSAK and SwissArmyKnights. Defender,or Def for short was his old screen name,back when tablets were pills and the Simpsons were funny.
