Kam - I'm guessing you like that LD02 as its the only thing that stays consitant across your carries. I'm in the market for a AAA clicky and have been looking past the LD02 because at 3 inches it seems like it might be too small for both the clicky and the head to extend past my hand when I'm holding it. I've got average sized hands. Do you find this to be the case and,if so, is it annoying to get to the clicky? Comparing lights and trying to understand how much of a knock this is. Thanks!  :salute:

That is because I am not a flashlight guy, don't know much about them. LD02 is a big improvement over LD01 because I don't like twist on lights. So far I am very happy with LD02, small and lght, pretty bright and last long enough for my use.

The clip has problems, a little too easy to pop off, I use a small o-ring to address this issue.

I carry it on the external molle strap of my pouch, so I can turn it on in less than 1 second.

Did I answer your question?

Thanks. What I really want to know is whether the size is adequate when it's in use. When you are holding it in a fist so that flashlight head is by the pinky and clicky by the thumb, is it easy to use the clicky or does it get buried under your ring finger because the light is so small?

It is not an issue for me but I have small hands.
It is small and light, for quick work I can hold it in mouth.

Another vote for the usability of the LD02. I agree with Kampfer that the clip is problematic, but since I carry it in a sheath side pocket or loose in a pants pocket, it's a non-issue for me. I wear a size large glove and find the light to be quite usable and definitely not too small. It is a very good light for it's size and cost.

That Paratool looks really nice with the Kwaiken. In fact, I havent seen a folder that really piqued my interest ike that in a while.

Also, happy belated birthday, sorry I missed it.

A big test for Paratool yesterday.
My parents were locked out after their morning walk. Luckly i was near by, rushed to help after i got the call. After careful considerations seen like taking down the front metal door was the best way to go. The door frame was held in place by large wood screws and large hex bolts, so i pulled my Paratool to work on them. The #1 phillips driver was no match for those #3 wood screws, the driver kept slipping out and kept folding down when i apply pressure, also every time i twist the tool, the handles silde out from its locking tabs and openning itself.  :-\ then same thing happened when working on the hex bolts, while angeled pilers head would be very helpful, but again the handles kept folding out under pressure. That clearly shown Paratool had reached its limits.

Guess what saved the day? In less than 5 mins my Surge took down the entire door frame without any trouble. That is exactly why I EDC the Surge kit in my computer bag. After the metal door was taken down, my parents open the wooden door behind it with PIN code.  :)

Time for redemption:
I returned to my parents home to install a new metal door, this time with my P³.
Surprisingly the P³ was able complete the task, one thing I did differently was instead of using Phillis driver to deal with#3 screws I used the medium flathead/bottle opener. Hex bolts were dealt with by the pilers as well.
