Alligator Pliers

Saw this one on the 'bay a few months ago and snagged a screen shot to post here for posterity.  This is a variation on the Handyboy style pliers although it looks like it might have been manufactured earlier?  Manufactured by G. A. Gloor  in Chicago.

I've got a set of those:

I cannot seem to locate any patent information on them though, nor have I been able to google up anything more about the G.A. Gloor company. :-\

I think you might have one of almost anything in the plier-based MT line that we post about on MTo  ;)  :pok:  (I'm jealous, that's all)

How 'bout a 4238862-only PST, got one of those yet ?  :pok:

Looks like he might be from up your way, circa 1930's ish.  Try George Gloor from Dearborn, MI.

Okay, I see George Gloor had a patent for a Quick acting vise" in 1934 and a Beverage device also in 1934, and was the assignee of a "Chuck or holder" in 1921......but nothing like the plier & alligator wrench tool. Are you thinking this is the same guy? :)
