If youj get rid of the diamond file.  It could be the Vic Safari/Mauser :tool:

If the tool replaces a bunch of others, what's the point of a sharpener? It can't be used on the attached knife and thus is limited to fishing hooks as in the photo...

yep i noticed that too.but on leathermans are too diamond files, and i found it really useful.if norses tool was my design,i bet that the file would´ve been replaced with a real file,or maybe slotwrench.

well in most tolls around theres some not so useful parts, like that everlasting need to have separate can and bottle opener, although could be in one combo blade,or to put a some fishing gear into survival knifes handles...what makes em usually weaker due to hollow handle.etc etc....

Tactical Knives is a great magazine, but you have to remember one important detail- they are not critical of anything, and every knife they review is the absolute best knife anyone has ever seen throughout the history of mankind.

I have seen them give rave reviews to cheap hunks of crap in the past, and I am embarrassed to say that I have bought some of those cheap hunks of crap because of the write up in TK.  Remember that when purchasing stuff you read about there.

That's why sites like this are great- we don't mind pointing out the shortcomings of various tools!

Whilst I do give full (or at least various levels) of respect to a man (or group of men) who have a design, build it, & take it to market - the Super-Knife market is somewhat saturated as it is - how do you think this Single-SKU company will fare?

Just pondering the plight of the One-Design/ Single-product company as it challenges the Big Brands who can either out-produce them, or buy up the designs of people who don't have the wherewithal to go into production

Surely no magazine would dare to publish glowing reviews of items of marginal quality - that could ruin the magazine's reputation for unbiased reporting.  ;>

"Guns and Ammo" magazine was notorious for publishing glowing reviews of items that were barely one step above junk - still does for all I know, because I haven't read an issue of "Guns and Ammo" for many years.  I know this because I was dumb enough to buy some of the junk favorably reviewed in "Guns and Ammo."
