The clip on my PM2 worked just fine without the center screw for a while.  I dropped one while changing it to lefty.  Spyderco sent a new screw quickly. :tu:

Yea, it holds fine with two screws, but its the principle of the thing and I don't wan't to have my brand spanking new (expensive) Spyderco running on two screws.

Like sawman said I am worried the defective screw damaged the hole, but it seems alright. Once I get the replacement screws in all should be well (hopefully). Now the long wait.

Sorry to hear about the let down, hope Spyderco's screw will come swiftly and everything will be alright.  I think a good company should always take care of a good customer, with good quality and service.

If you are talking about on a Para II then no. This is my first.

I did have a very long and extensive back and forth with CRKT and a pocket clip. They kept sending me the wrong one for around 5-6 months I believe.

Might be time for a follow-up call/email. I find you have to keep on smurfholes regularly to get them to do what they're supposed to. I don't know if it's a USA thing or it goes on all around the world...

If I do not get them by the end of the week I will do that.

I just want to carry my damn PM2.

On a side note. I sent Kershaw a e-mail about a replacement clip and screws a few days after I contacted Spyderco and I already got the package from Kershaw.

The replacement screws finally came! And they sent me the wrong screws.  WTF is going on. Is it just me? Do I have terrible luck? Are the forces working against me? Is it just terrible customer service?

The package the screws came in had "sorry for the delay" written on it. Obviously something is going on in their customer service department. Sounds familiar.

I tried to call, but they are only open Monday-Friday so now I have to wait until Monday to call and wait another 2 weeks.  I'm at the point where i'm not even pissed off just incredible disappointed.

Sorry for the crappy pictures.

That was a pocket clip. It took 3 months and 3-4 different clips for them to finally send me the correct one. That's just the tip of the iceberg though. I have had issues with every single company's customer service I have bought knives/MT's from except Gerber and Kershaw.

Well, I won't be spending anymore of my hard-earned money on a Spyderco product anytime soon. They're obviously running a SLOPERATION! Who do they think they are, Leatherman?!?!?!? :td:

I have no idea what is going on around there, but all I know is it's not good.

I don't get how this happens when I specifically told the what knife it was for and double checked before the call was over to make sure they had the correct model.

Damn Cap'n, that really sucks.  >:(  I had a similar experience with Kershaw a few weeks ago, which surprised me, given their reputation.  Spyderco has a good rep as well, horrible to see this.  I'd be sending a less-than-polite email (which is what Kershaw got after two mess-ups), plus be on the phone on Monday.  This is unacceptable IMO.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

It sure is a pain in the smurf, but i'm just glad it's bad luck with this and not real serious issues. Don't get me wrong, i'm bummed about it, but real life could be much, much worse and i'm just glad i'm able to buy a PM2 to be disappointed with. If that makes any sense.  :D

Glad to see you are stilling quite positive about it, hope it will not take as long as last time.  I mean how difficult is it to know the screw size of your own products?  It is not rocket science and I wonder did they actually make those products... ::)

Right, I saw this one quite late...... this thing sucks, definitely. I had really disappointing experience not long ago with that gold-plated SAK that I wanted so much and that was quite pricey for me, too. Everything went well with me, though. I hope they take care of you, too, soon :tu:

Yay! :)

It made my night. I forgot to check the mail and decided to go check it. I did not expect to get them that quick, but I guess they shipped them out promptly since they "screwed up." (pun intended)  :D I saw the package and got excited. Told myself to not get ahead of myself and to expect the wrong screws again. Once I opened it and saw the replacement and I knew they were the correct ones and then got excited.  :mail: They sen't locktite as well. I didn't use it as the screws already have dried locktite on them, but its good to have extra.
