Due to work barring certain items from being carried, I only have a Fenix E01 flashlight and a Sears 4-way screwdriver on my keys, which hangs from a small Wapag carabiner.

I've tried other tools, such as the True Utility Sharkey and the Leatherman Brewer, but they didn't work out too well.  I'm debating about trying the 5.11 EDT, SwissTech Slimtool, or maybe splurge on an Atwood again, if he is still around.

Reminded of detachable magnetic  function by another knight, but being too cheap to start dropping $35 per magnet detachable, I opted for two cheap mechanical detachments—one for each car key I have to surrender to mechanics and valets. Very pleased with that. Will get a third for fob and fourth for flashlight.

Deleted two 58s because of my new 5th pocket addiction to  Executive, plus my twin SAK EDC of Cybertool L and S557.

Retained my purple anodized emergency whistle.

Added a blue tick tool for spring with new dog.

Kept the house keys, but...wish other half would agree to trawler only life and near complete invisibility to TPTB. No go. ☹️

I try to keep my keychain inconspicuous, so just a Vic Classic and a pendrive for me:
(Image removed from quote.)

A while ago I managed to acquire my first Leatherman, and upgraded from the Vic Classic:

Me too. The outside opening knife and the quick release from the keys make up for some of the shortcomings.... having fewer implements than a Micra.

Oh, that's a PS, so no blade. But I always have a SAK (usually a Nomad) in my pocket, and they complement each other very well. And the quick release is indeed great. :D

I thought I was just another one for keys!
Then realised I’ve also got a SIM tool and paracord on there too…

That’s the hope.
I also noticed recently a SIM tool is also good for watch straps, if you have drilled lugs. Bonus!  :tu:

Opened plenty of bottles with mine, better opener than on most small MT’s IMO (dime has the best opener not that I carry it much), pry bar good for opening boxes, bit small for most pry jobs :iagree: and never used the wrench. Kinda like it

Well, you’re not gonna get much accomplished with the wrench that’s for sure, and definitely to small for any prying. Basically a bottle opener which I have on my SAKs, and I usually just pop the top with a Bic lighter...faster than getting my knife out.

I keep a Streamlight Nano on my keys. You forget how small and light that dang thing is!
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

It's a halfway decent pry tool, but that's about it. I'm replacing mine with a Proto J-100. No need having a fatter, heavier tool that has functions I don't use; and when I tested them, they failed miserably. And like $2 difference between the two; when the latter is USA made and more comfortable to use; that makes up for the price difference in my mind.

It's kinda weird how the crappiest tool is basically the only OPT you'll find in most American stores; and it probably outsells some of the better tools by 100-1.  I mean, when someone doesn't have a Classic SD on their keys, they're likely to have a Doohickey.

Just added the Vic screwdriver disk. Can't find dad's Craftsman one and online prices are ridiculous for a trinket no matter how iconic...

I too have only keys on my keychain. But I carry a separate ring with important toys.  I mean tools.  I vary the collection to keep it fun.

Yes, I really carry all this junk.     Starting at the top and going clockwise:
-Expensive Ti carabiner/tool.
-Toyota fob
-Keysmart.  I can turn in some keys at the end of the month, and I've put keypad locks on the house, so this will be going.
-Toyota key
-Olight
-Glow tube I got as a gift

When I was taking pics of my flashlights yesterday, I noticed that the ring with the carabiner and light is sprung a bit and that thin ring holding the light could work it's way out.  I added a piece of orange duct tape over the split part of the ring, and it's also a high viz marker.

Nice.  I wished Toyota would've used a key/fob so we dont have to carry both.  Not a huge issue just don't love having to carry both.
