A year in Golden Square
on: April 16, 2016, 09:51:34 PM
Over the last year we've observed the change of the seasons, and the changes the bring to the land along the banks of the Hogsmill river,in the outskirts of London.

This cycle of the seasons we'll observe from what's probably my favourite place in central London,Golden Square.

Yeah, spring has definitely sprung here as well.  Other than the snow we had last week that is.

Odd wasn't it?  It lay on the ground for around 24 hours and then we're back to spring.

We had some snow, then hail and then spent the afternoon out in the garden sipping tea in the sunshine.

Monday saw the first of the harvest festivals,Lammas.

London has been wet, cloudy and humid, hardly great harvest weather

The upper and lower floor beds get changed three or four times a year, with different blooms. The middle bed, with the statue of George the First has been allowed to grow wild. Guess which one is my favourite  ;)
