Looks like you have some very nice Slippies to go with your SAKs!   :tu:

Who made the Stockman?

That is a German made Hen and Rooster :tu: I have some of them and have really been enjoying carrying them lately  :like:

Thanks, nice looking knife!

I have a different Hen & Rooster Stockman.

Is that a re-issue?

Yes, as I understand it since 2015 Victorinox has issued a version (model: 1.4763.SS) of the Master Craftsman (with the inlaid shuttle scales) only available in the Japanese market (I purchased mine through Amazon Japan). Unlike the orginal version it has the hook and wood chisel. I don't know if this issue is just a temporary one, or will be on-going. I only ordered it on 15th Dec, but it was delivered on 19th Dec (to the UK)!

Cost me ¥ 5,732 + ¥ 980 shipping + ¥ 1,342 import fees = ¥ 8,054

So that's about £55 / $69

My son just joined the club!  I was pleasantly surprised at how sweet a knife the Ranger is.  The lack of pliers really takes the heft from it.  It really is a pocket friendly Craftsman!

Poncho, how does it compare carry wise with the Champion?  I had my Craftsman out and compared the two, and the Ranger really does carry well  :D

It seems way smaller than a Champion in my pocket  But with a suspension clip they both carry very well and I never even notice the Ranger in my pocket during the day :tu:

I didn't know this was a Ranger, but happily just found out it is!  It's the older one without hook and chisel.
