They came from an eBay seller called All Things Swiss. I think they've run out of stock, though. An e-mail will be headed your way soon.

It's a glow in the dark fob that came with the knife and sheath Tony.  It's great if you set the knife down or drop it in the dark.

My son has both a Classic and a Climber with those scales Tony.  It's amazing how bright they are in the dark.

It's been the better part of two years now, that the 58mm classic has  been my main everyday, real everyday, EDC pocket knife. Since the whole knife thing faded for me as I got older, I found as a retired guy living in Georgetown Texas, who does a lot of fishing, park walks with the wife and dog child, day trips around this part of Texas, and occasional long road trips to see the daughter and her family inn Mission Viejo California, the classic is almost all I need on a day to day basis. It opens packages, cuts some cheese off the chunk of Tillimook cheddar in the fridge, cuts jute twine for the tomato and bell pepper plants in the garden out back, and trims my nails. It snips mono filament fishing line like a breeze.  Since August of 2022, the classic has been it.

Once in a while I feel the day may need something more, so I'll pack along my old Wenger SI as my 'heavy duty' knife.  Sometimes my Christy knife goes along. But most the time it's just my little classic. Life in modern 21st century suburbia is fairly uneventful with no buffalo to skin out or marauding Comanche's out to scalp me. If I need to defend myself, that's what the small revolver in my side pocket is for, and the wife has the can of pepper spray.

The little SAk's are a great knife.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

I don't carry a 58mm, but I do use one every day.  Generally the nail file on an old white Bijou that doesn't have a screwdriver tip.  Most days I COULD get by with just a 58mm, but old habits are hard to break.  Let's see if I can find a photo of some sort to add.  Best wishes.  G

Yeah, I know. Thats why the Christy knife makes such a nice teammate with the 58mm SAK, it's the little razor blade knife for when all ya need is a really sharp edge. The 58mm SAK handles the small Phillips screws, snipping, plucking, filing and such, but the Christy knife is the surgical razor edge that you can just thumb out when needed.  :tu:

As i did screwed my Scales on the Classic SD and the Minichamp, i did order today 2 Pairs of new 58 mm Scales in blue, booth whit Holes for Tweezer and Tootpick, so the Classic SD might had this hole not filled ..

No its a matter of wait for them to get shipped and arrive ..

There is now an Discussion in Germany to Bann some more Knives, 6 cm Blade, etc, at least from the Trains so might be in the End the Only Knives that are allowed where the 58 mm Line from Victorinox..

The Minichamp got a few nice Tools, a tiny Blade is better than having none Blade, even an Bottle Cap Opener ..  also whit this Finger Nail Scinn Pushing Tool something that is quite useless in my Opinion but at least i did use the Orange Peeler once ..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

Because the Hinge Points of the Victorinox 58 mm Line is quite the same on every side: How do i know which side the Scale whit the Swiss Cross have to go? When i put the New Blue Scales on, all i was knowing whas that the Tweezer and Toothpick Holes are oposide of the Cross and Keyring,
is the Side whit the Scissors right under the Scale whit the Cross the ride Side?

I mean not that im now can change this as these tiny Scale Peaces are quite flimmsy ..

I never tried to put 58mm scales on backward, but they look the same to me.  Just so you know, the 58mm models with a light have the scissors on the other side.  Best wishes. G

Don't worry much about "correctness", unless you're refurbishing and flipping them as if new. The 58mm are not only symmetrical  side to side  (promotional Classic SD's have them inverted, with the shield scale towards its "back" while they come standard towards the "front") but also from end to end, which means that you can potentially assemble them having the tweezers/toothpick opening towards the lanyard ring.

It's nice, except for the keyring being changed to the wrong end. Wenger had it right.
