I think your boss is mean to give you your plans in Chinese H. And what is a unit of Z?
Looks to me like Japanese more than Chinese (mostly because of the hiragana の we can spot in the text)

H is always working on secret plans.  ::) He thinks he's all that. One day it's weasel laser suits and the next it's Subsonic destructo beams.

I had a real katana at the time. It was stolen in a burglary, fortunately (for the thief) I wasn't at home.

Once again the watch opener gets to perform scales removal. Some 91mm copper plus scales arrived yesterday. Early this AM I installed them on one of the excess Tinker left over and untouched during the fabrication of four Apprentice. A number of the Tinker I acquired were in such excellent condition I didn't have the heart to gut them for the all-important Phillips. They have been mothballed since early this year. Noted recently that while I had an Apprentice, Small Tinker, Super Tinker and Deluxe Tinker in the EDC rotation drawer there was no Tinker. The mothballed Tinker selected for this was in the best condition, near mint, with economy nylon scales. I had been tempted to put some black scales on it but thought the copper ones would be just right for it.

Everything assembled for the project to begin, including the new copper scales . . .

Front side is already off, and starting on the back side with the watch opener blade. For me it's become the ideal tool for this.

Both sides off now, and we get a view of the Tinker's liners. It's exceptionally clean. No need to wash and scrub this one!

The new scales fit very well and just snapped on, in spite of being metal. Used the vise for one end of one side. Had I kept up with using my weight pressing on it, that end would have snapped down. Checked for fit of the tweezers, toothpick and pen, discovering the toothpick slot needed a little tweaking. These aren't like Cellidor or Nylon. Although Copper is considered soft, ductile and malleable, at the forces I'm exerting on them, they're hard, unyielding metal with no give or compliance. A handful of passes in the toothpick slot with a square jeweler's file opens it up just enough for the toothpick to fit properly. Anyone contemplating aftermarket scales like these, especially metal ones, should anticipate they might need a tweak or two as there is manufacturing variation among the enormous population of 91mm Victorinox knives in use globally.

A picture of the front side with the Swiss Cross and the tweezers installed . . .

A look at the backside with the toothpick, pen, keyring and fob installed . . .

Closed up and almost ready for EDC. I'm still working on doing October's challenge single layer, and after removing the back scale a couple times to tweak the toothpick fit, it doesn't quite snap on as tightly as it first did. I need to use a touch of adhesive on the three rivets the scales snap onto. Won't take much to hold them on securely, and the scales should still break loose with sufficient leverage. Folded up now and will be stored until I can do the adhesive later today. With all that Copper, it's definitely much heavier than it was! Has quite a bit of heft now.

Not Cellidor and not Alox either. I dub thee the Cuprox Tinker Plus! The Copper is bright and shiny now, but like the U.S. penny it should develop a patina with handling and time. The watch opener once again gets the job done.

DAY 20

I tightened a loose screw on my watchband with the eyeglass screwdriver. Now I have to let it sit for 8-12 hours  for the threadlocker to cure.
