Thanks Stitchy :hatsoff: I actually bought this one brand new in a blister pack years ago (circa 2008 or 09 around Christmas time maybe  ) at a department store that had some KF4s and PSTs new as well :o I bought a KF4 for myself and for another member here and by the time I went back to get anything else they were all gone :ahhh I believe the store was TJ Maxx (seems like Marshalls also had a similar assortment of discontinued LM) but that has been so many years ago that I am not 100% sure of that ::) :D

Should of asked here first, whether this was a reasonable deal or not, but I’m excited to have just purchased a vintage Leatherman PST for $50.  Described in the pics.  From what I could gather from a little Internet research, it dates to around 1995 or a little before?Don’t be shy in telling me if I made a bad deal...

Not a bad deal  It is earlier than 1995 as well :salute: The blade has more of a clip on it than that time period had :tu: It is either early 90s and has datecodes or it doesn't have them and is still about the same era :tu:

And the sheath looks great as well  Good job

 :iagree: with Poncho
Everything indicates to the early 90s, even the sheath.

Nice condition and a reasonable price, congrats  :tu:

Would like to see some pics when you've got it  :D

Thank you both for the comments and information.  The seller didn’t mention any date codes so after reading these comments I’m thinking maybe it doesn’t have them.  I think it’s cool getting an early 90s example.  Looking forward to posting pics when I get it.

I think you did well since it has the killer original  sheath included. They go for $20  easy by themselves   :tu:

I’m glad to hear it.  The seller was asking $65 or best offer.  He turned down a $40 offer, but accepted $50.  Judging by the average prices listed on the PST, this seemed reasonable and the tool appeared to be in better shape than a lot of others I saw listed in a similar price range.

The Crunch...IMO the neatest Leatherman out there.  I have one.  I don’t use it much, but it has come in very handy a time e or two through the years in a pinch.  For years I kept it in my vehicle.

My one and only vintage Leatherman arrived in the mail today.  Other than a few light surface scratches, she’s almost like new.  Dated 01/93 in one of the handles.

Watch out, there so many expert enablers around here that your bank account is in grave danger !

Og Supertool, PSTII, Supertool 2, JPST, Crunch and so on, the list could get very long (and expensive) indeed  :pok:

Haha, yes that is a real danger.  Just from surfing this site in recent weeks I’ve purchased a Rebar, a Bond and a PST.  At least I already have a Crunch, so I can check that off the list.
