The Camper and Ranger came in today:

Pretty sure I have it correct at '73 for the Camper (top) and '75 for the Ranger (bottom).

It *did* help me solve some questions I had about two other knives that I had trouble dating.  One, I believe now is a '73 Camper/blank rear tang with a c. '79 Camping scale on it (bottom right). The other is a c. '79 Hoffritz Spartan (top right - and a similar scaled c. '79 Hoff Traveller not pictured) That I was less certain about because of that Camper.

That's all from me today Camping Fans! Still waiting on that other one...

Came in today!

Scales are in A- shape and a little oxidized on the inlay, but the rest is mint!

 A sampling from '73 to '85:

I'd still like to fill in some spots like '79 with the thick shield and between late '73 and early-mid '75. Still learning and refining my info in the '70s range. Having multiple copies from the same year help see progression in tooling and major iterations.

Bump for @Frater_Martin...and is there a reason why this thread was de-listed from the sticky thread?!

Just checked Amazon. One company has the camper with no teepee, while another shows the camper with a teepee.  I thought the teepee went out a while back?
Maybe old stock or just using an old picture?

A picture would help. There could still be old stock of the inlay versions and I think the printed ones are somewhat available as well as the loose scales of those.

Re:  post about campers on Amazon.

Can't find the one with logo this morning. But - something weird,
When I pull up the plain camper and wiggle my mouse over the pic, the logo
model appears then disappears.  I guess a computer glitch at Amazon ??
Never seen that happen before. Guess old pic at same address as new/current one ?

I suppose the ‘thumbnail’ file was not updated. Sometimes happens with products that have been around for a while, I think.

It’s just been waiting for you...almost two years!

I find it’s easy to miss or overlook threads in this forum format. I was a moderator for several years for an unrelated forum that switched to Xenforo, but I hated that so I quit a few months ago.
