My proffering for today is the Alox Cadet (and its official Vic' slip)

I do wish they'd make slips for the Pioneer/PX & Farmer/FX (when it's available)  :pok: ::)

But they do! I have one for a 3 layer 93mm alox.  I don´t have an item code but I do have a picture.

Bugger  :facepalm:

My only "dealer" is the Vic' store in London and that's closed and the official website (and non official ones) don't seem to have anything remotely similar  :dunno:

Should you come across them again (anywhere) please let me know. I'll send you a few Euros for a drink (or two)  :drink:

The shop´s still there, IDK whether it´s open now due to the virus.

Thanks G-Dizzle  :salute:

I did have a look earlier (I saw your previous post) but I didn't see anything that was made just for Vic' and only a slip.

I like belt clips but only for larger tools (LM, SwissTool etc) and only whilst on duty.

Carrying a large blade/tool conspicuously here in the UK will get you into a world of grief and it's difficult to hide something that doesn't fit easily into the coin pocket of your jeans  ::)

I'll have another look later  :tu:

This is the medium sized pocket slip from them (no clip at all). I find it is perfect for 2 layer 93mm models, with 3 being a bit snug (it’s leather though, so it will form and break in).

Thanks for the info' and pics G-Dizzle  :tu: I might have to look into these again then  :think:

Incidentally, the only official slips I can find from Vic' are the black ones and not like the one you have here for the Cadet  :dunno:

Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places but I have to search on-line as, here in the UK, we don't really have shops that sell only knives (of any type) or even shops that "also" sell knives and accessories  ::)

:tu: This one came with a limited edition all-silver and no keychain cadet. I feel for your struggles as a collector in the UK. Is buying this kind of stuff on Ebay still a thing over there?

:iagree: :like:

I had read your response G-D and have been surfing the "bay of fleas" for the past hour or so. Unfortunately, it is as Ws says. Notwithstanding the price for Alox, which is always at a premium, most sellers won't ship to the UK (or at least it seems it's very difficult for them to do so)  :dunno:

If you look outside of the US then the majority seem to come from Russia or the far east and they still seem to charge inflated prices and the shipping (even if reasonably priced) is advertised at 4-6 weeks which is a ridiculous amount of time. Then, on top of this, you have to factor in any additional Covid-19 delays  :whistle:

My own personal preference for SAKs is 93mm Alox, as I don't have a need for anything smaller
(although a Cadet X  :drool: ) and I pretty much want new variants (or new, old stock) not used.

So, in answer to your question, it looks like unless someone amongst the great and good of MTO, can personally recommend an Ebay seller whom;

a) Can be relied upon
b) Can & WILL ship to the UK

Then I'm afraid that I (and possibly others here in the UK) are stuck with the official routes such as Vic' (and also in my case LM) authorised retailers which, in turn limits availability to current lines of both knives/tools & accessories.

Furthermore, our choices are often further limited even within mainland Europe.

Bugger!!!  :rant:
