Since I live in Michigan, seems about time I get a Bark River knife. Got a Woodland S35VN  on the way from DLT Trading (the older Woodland model style, which is on closeout):

The company is only about a dozen years old or so, but their knives are extremely popular in the bushcraft community. They are based out of the UP in Escanaba. Very awesome finished knives with good steel, convex edge, and a lifetime warranty. My local hardware store a mile down the street from me carries them, so I have seen them several time but never purchased one before. I think they are a bit pricey at or near full MSRP, but the Woodland I purchased from DLT Trading is almost 50% off.

That explains it then. Have not lived in Michigan since 1999. Use to go up near Escanaba snowmobiling.

Very nice mate. :tu:  I've wanted a BRKT knife for years, but never could quite justify the price of them over here.

DLT Trading does do international shipping. Could be worth checking out their BR knifes on sale every so often to see if anything works out for you:

I don't blame you. At MSRP, I think they are charging a lot for the aesthetics. I have no doubt that there are other knives for less than full priced BRKTs that perform as well.

But like I said, my local hardware store carries about a half dozen BRKT models and have tempted me (except they sell at MSRP) every time I go in. Hard to resist. LOL

There are some really great knives presented in this thread.

Here is a Randall model 18 with a 5 1/2" blade.

I have been looking at the Bark River's but to me they are kinda expensive for me to get one that won't probably see much use so I ended up getting me one of these.  This is a Cudeman MT5 that I picked up used for a real good price!  Can't wait to get out side and play with it but since I am in Michigan, it could be awhile!  :)

Specifications:
Overall Length: 8.89"
Blade Length:4.30 "
Blade Thickness: 0.16"
Blade Material: Bohler N695
Blade Style: Drop Point
Blade Finish: Satin
Edge Type: Plain
Handle Length: 4.59"
Handle Thickness: 0.88"

At the moment; none.  I honestly don't have a spare £120 or so to spend on a knife, no matter how good looking.  However should I find myself with cash burning a hole in my pocket some time in the future......

Well since your asking

I like the Bravo EDC and the Gunny.  I wouldn't be comfortable spending the coin tho.  The Deseert Ironwood looks gorgeous.
