I might be cynical and say unknow amazon wood but Tramontina probably is smarter about that sort of thing these days.

The knife is a cut-down factory 10" .

The handle was the surface charred over a gas burner stove then rubbed with coconut oil, same with the Macaquinho I posted last week

Cool knives today for sure.

Congrats everyone.

This is a Case 54 Trapper in the rattle snake pattern, done on oak.

I can never leave a knife alone.LOL  I have to remove any residual tool  marks from the blade, spine and backsprings.I then feel compelled to buff  those surfaces to a mirror shine.

Oh well,it's some sort of compulsion I've lived with for years, decades.

Thanks fellas.   :hatsoff:

I've been struggling for years to take a picture of that knife that represents what it looks like in person.  I don't think it will ever happen.  The BEM that Queen used on these has intricate figure that is difficult to focus on and the color balance is never right.  Regardless, to my eyes it is one of the prettiest scale materials I've seen.

I've not seen Case scales like you have on your trapper before TG.  Very cool!!  8)

Thanks NS.

Case has done some really crazy scales on the 54 series.

I have tortoise and alligator scales done on bone.
