Day 11.

After some house duties we went out for a walk in the woods to our *special place*, a lone bend in the river that flows through our town some kilometers up river.
Found some hornet combs at an old oak.
The river is amazing, need to get a trout fishing permit next year! As we walked home in the beginning darkness a huge flock of crows passed over us. Have never seen so much of them, pic shows only a small part.

Did some whittling, lost it on the way home (sort of a flute, too dark to take a pic)

:salute: I agree!  I sure will buddy.
He's here for one more day, then he's heading back.  We're planning a trip to visit him at the end of the month.

In the meantime, I used the can opener tip to loosen some Philips head screws on our pellet stove.  Turns out that the auger motor is shot.
Nice set of assignments!   :tu: :salute:

I quite agree ... but on a practical level shouting "Clear Prop" when you start is much easier than shouting "Clear Airscrew" !

Day 11 :

Slow day for me, today. Intermittent snow. I mostly stayed inside, catching up on some tasks and chores. No uses for the Huntsman until I stopped to have a little snack.

I used the iPET (integral Pistachio Extraction Tool) to access some tough nuts. The Huntsman handled one and awl with efficiency.  :tu:

I didn’t see that one coming. Those tough ones is why I only buy them without shells. Great use

Uses today--a lot.

Scissors got used to open my probiotic, as well as clip some zipties I was using to help wrangle some cords behind the TV. Large blade got used to cut some plants behind the house. Saw was used to cut some smaller limbs so I could get my Kobalt folding saw (to remove a bush that was blocking the car from being backed all the way into the back porch--my grandfather, who has had some disabilities due to something called Binswanger's Disease, is having trouble get into the front door, but the driveway leading up to the back door is 100% level) in there to fully remove it. And finally, I cleaned dead bugs out of the light for the back porch. To do that, I had to remove the bulb enclosure, which is held on by a Philllips screw and a small (under 1/4) capped nut. The Sebertool M3 held the nut while the can opener's screwdriver tip handled the screw itself. The M3 is a really good companion to an SAK. Its pliers, in my mind, are the most robust and universal of all small MTs. I really can't do much with the competing, and better known SwissTech.

The Donkey Kong notebook was something I got from Nintendo Rewards back when they still had them.
