Day 1 - Wenger Buck.  I just returned from the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis yesterday. Yesterday's flight was interrupted by a bird strike on take off and in all of the excitement and switching of planes and gates, I left my nice wool coat in the waiting area, so someone gets a nice coat.  But I'm home and that's all that's all that's important to me.
Now I am being driven by my 16 year old son as we go out to get breakfast - just what I wanted after a week of restaurant meals!

Nice scales and great use Sherry! Thanks about my thumb...more embarrassing than anything.
Because of some wild weather, our Halloween festivities got pushed back.
Nice and sweet!

Day 3

Finally we're back home from our trip, and as I'm not planning any knife use, actually, my only plan for the rest of the day is to have a relaxing, lazy Sunday afternoon/evening, a definite non-user from the collection will be just right for today: a 1943 Victorinox (Elsner) Soldier.
Oh yeah, that is a nice Soldier!  :tu:

Champion reporting for duty.  Pretty much the same as the Outdoorsman, but adds the metal file/saw.

Day 3, another lazy day with little use, didn't switch to another today. Great models pouring in today as well, and sentimental knives as expected.

Well luckily it was just a coat, if I forgot mine that would additionally be a loss of couple SAKs (well not when air traveling) and around 80€ of other items.

Day 1:

For the first day of this challenge, and on a Friday night at work,  I have chosen my DAK.

It has been reskinned with scales from a Sentinel.   With the addition of the tweezer, toothpick and pocket clip, it has become a much more functional tool!

As I just got up and am getting ready for work, we start with a few static shots...

If I find some uses tonight, I will update the thread...

Is there any modification needed to put Sentinel Plus clip scales on another model? Been looking at doing that to my Fireman and Outrider.

Well, yes.  I had to make the cutout for the backside Phillips as the Sentinel does not have any backside tools.

Then you have to realize the Sentinel is a liner lock model and the back scale with the pocket clip will not work with any Slide Lock models.

Hope that helps!!

Day 3:

Another Wenger day.  This one helping me try to do yet another repair on an old TV tray. The original set of 4 is down to three and they are falling apart. We need to get a new set, but just have not yet.

Day 4

93mm Woodsman, I quite like the simplicity of 1-2 layers of Alox with woodsaw, they are the perfect candidates inside a small survival kit.  I do wish Victorinox will bring them back.

How nice to have some family time after week long of travel!  Sorry to hear about the coat, but if I were to choose between a coat or a Discontinued SAK, I'd probably choose the SAK any day of the week.

kamakiri Day 3:

Troubleshooter in tow today:

Still, I have had this watch hanging from a nail on my computer hutch over the years. Is the first thing I look at when setting down at the computer. :D

Me too!  :tu:  Mine sits about 7" to the left of my keyboard.  No real story on it though. Bought this one a few years back.  I did have one of the Wenger watches and a carabiner that I used for years until the spring busted...

With the rest of my current Marlboro users. (Without the 'Troublemaker' mod - Troubleshooter w/ Lite module layer)

Did convert the Illuminator to an 'old' style white LED module:

Still at it. Had to go down in basement for a few hours to help my wife with some work.

I have repaired the trays a few times. The screw holes are just destroyed so I went industrial. Haha

I have a ton of these bolts n nuts, so drilled the holes out and set the nuts into the tray, using a hammer, with wood glue.  Clamped up right now while the glue dries.

I know it’s overkill, but I was bored!  Haha.  If it doesn’t work, I’ll just toss the trays and we’ll get a new set. Need to anyway.

I still need to drill out the holes in the rail, once the glue on the nuts dries.   I’ll set the shoulder depth to leave the heads of the bolts flush if I can.
