Day 4
Decided on something a little easier to carry today. This Wenger serrated Highlander used to live on my keys.

Still at it. Had to go down in basement for a few hours to help my wife with some work.

I have repaired the trays a few times. The screw holes are just destroyed so I went industrial. Haha

I have a ton of these bolts n nuts, so drilled the holes out and set the nuts into the tray, using a hammer, with wood glue.  Clamped up right now while the glue dries.

I know it’s overkill, but I was bored!  Haha.  If it doesn’t work, I’ll just toss the trays and we’ll get a new set. Need to anyway.

I still need to drill out the holes in the rail, once the glue on the nuts dries.   I’ll set the shoulder depth to leave the heads of the bolts flush if I can.

Sometimes overkill is fun because it gives you the option to use your tools and knowledge.

Yes, there are no scratches on the scales and the tools so I think it is never used.

November 2/3/4 - carrying the Yeoman, used it Sunday to peel an apple and open some mail on Saturday. Today I used the scissors to cut a string that was tangled in a backpack zipper. Hopefully some more work for the Yeoman later today.
Cheers!

No...centimeter is way smaller...3cm would be like 1.18???  Celsius is 1.8 plus 32... :dunno:

Beats me...I don't even know what kind of instrument is it?  Is it some kind of a measurement roller?

IIRC, formula for celsius vs Fahrenheit goes something like this: (F-32)*3/5 = C

C - Gauge mark found on the C and D scales denoting 4/𝜋‾‾‾√=1.128 4/π=1.128 for calculating the area of a circle and the volume of a cylinder. Place the C mark on the C scale over the diameter of a circle on the D scale. The area of the circle is found above the index on the A scale. If this is the base of a cylinder, without moving the slide, move the cursor to the height of the cylinder on the B scale. The volume is read on the A scale. This gauge mark was rendered obsolete with the advent of multi-lined cursors.

Very cool light mod.
 Thanks Sos24! Took a bit of work to find the old/white LED module to fit the original scale.

Very nice set of Marlboro users!
Thanks comis!  :tu: Nice to have ones that I don't worry about keeping clean or having unscratched scales.

Nice pocket watch!  :like: :tu:
Thanks Ray!  But not as cool as that rotary slide rule!  :tu: :hatsoff:

Today’s work carry will be my Wenger Apprentice, along with my Griptilian, for heavy cutting.

Used the flat blade driver to move a bent tine in a nut grinder...
