Childhood Memories
on: July 26, 2019, 06:32:01 PM
New arrival delivered today..  :climber:
Can’t believe I haven’t had a Swisschamp for over 25 years!  Since mine went missing after getting one for my 10th birthday.
A bit smaller/compact from what I remember, but then so was I at 10 years old!
Also lighter than I remember, but got a new style victorinox leather sheath to try out, until I design and make my own, maybe with a pen or light holder?
Anyway time to start some fires with the magnifying glass

Getting something that you remember from childhood is always nice.

Mine isn’t a SAK, it is a Utica Girl Scout knife.  After my Dad let me borrow his knife to take to camp to learn knife safety and using, I came home and was presented my first knife.

Nice :salute:
Yeah my dad was always carrying a pocket knife or Sak of some sort.
I’ve acquired knives in the past that he used. Usually Mercator type knives or army/sailing knives with marlin spikes and re-ground blades into a hawkbill or recurve- as he was an Electrician and used them daily.

Also making knives over the years.
