Poor knife fit. help.

So I picked up a low cost slip joint. When I close the balde it is so terribly centered that it actually closes on the liner and damages the edge.

This wasn't an expensive knife. But this is just ridiculous.

I have contacted the seller. However, if replacement isn't an option, is there someway to fix this?

Is the pivot screwed on or peened?

Start a new thread and post a photo of the discontinued sak/mt for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of a fixed blade for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Explorer SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. Start a new thread and post a photo of the leatherman (supertool, core, hacks) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Vic Spirit MT for sixty (60) consecutive days.

You could try crinking (bending) the blade a little. Grip the blade in soft jaws in a vice, and give the bolster a bit of a tap.
