I am curious about this forum's composition and there seems to be no recent information on the matter. The names I gave to the different options are for reference purposes only, of course... :whistle:

I've got a few new ones but I'm relatively stable count wise as I tend to give them away over time.

Thanks Ron, I just voted there too (thereby bumping the thread and crossing the beams, I am afraid :facepalm:). I am surprised five members voted >1000 back then - looks as if most of the 500 million SAK Vic produced actually went to members of this forum...

Do dismantled knives count?

If I take apart 4 knives to make 1, is the count 4 or 1?

Eh, doesn't matter...can't come up with an actual number anyway.  :facepalm:

Yes that was me back when I was young and fresh  and idealistic. Now much older with bruises from life and karate gang warfare I'm still practising monogamy...... just with a different SAK.

I harbour an ambition to get to below 5 but I like having spares of the Farmer and SI plus I can never part with the BuSchroder or Greenwood.

Are the numbers correct? To me it feels like a 0 (zero) is missing in all the numbers...
I mean, "> 100 (serious collector or certifiably nuts)", shouldn't that be ">1000 (etc.)" ??

Looks as if I somewhat misjudged the depth of the abyss when I set up this vote. But how could I have known, I am not even firmly down the rabbit hole yet :dunno:

Just so that future generations know: at the time of addition of the new "> 600" category, 19 out of 35 participants in the poll owned more than 44 SAK, of which 10 owned even more than 100 SAK, making the (formerly) last category of the poll the most densly populated one. This forum truly is the go to place if you are interested in SAK. Or obsessed with them.  :salute:
