Deep in the Spydie Hole Challenge- August 2020
on: December 29, 2019, 02:08:08 AM
As a relatively new fan to the Spyderco realm, I'm finding carrying one a real pleasure.  That being said, I'm hosting a challenge this coming August for any Spyderco model for 30 days of fun, excitement, and Spydie camaraderie!

I'm in.

I will need to get a replacement pivot screw for my Ladybug Salt, and I may be picking up a Dragonfly.

That's entirely up to the mods, but in my opinion, they are Spyderco. I would presume they are made in the same place as Chinese Spyderco offerings, and they have the same QC process that takes place in Golden as regular Spydies do. I use my Rescue 2 hard, and it performs just like any regular Spyderco. While Sal seems to have got the best he possibly could have out of 8Cr13MOV, it isn't VG-10.

Yes, the Byrd line counts.  We're treading on new ground, as there is no Spyderco badge presently :tu:

That sounds like a good rotation Gerhard.  I was going to go PM2 all the way, but I'm thinking about rotating mine through.  That Para 3 should stand out in a Tux!!

They've got a Delica in stock, but looking at the price I might rather order the Stretch 2

That Stretch 2 is a great looking knife.  Nothing against the Delica, but that would be a fun one to try out.

Funny you should mention that Jack.  I've been carrying the Autonomy and the Endura lately.  I've a Delica 4 that hasn't seen any action lately  :dd:
