It does indeed seem quite unbalanced in favor of the dark side. They had more stuff though so it makes sense. A bit of sanding and that thing should be close to perfect! Lets hope it works as intended.
Are you going to use this as-is JR?If it turns out to be less durable than you thought, you might want to consider doing a Shapeways order for something in metal. Just upload the STL file, I think they check the file and can then calculate the costs for printing.BTW I like the Star Wars models

Looking at it one wouldn't think it started out totally flat. It is like some advanced metal version of that japanese folding thing, eh, hajime? makrame? oregano? Ah, it will come to me.
But regular origami, can bend many times.This metal stuff? Measure twice, bend once.
